Risk Management - BizSAFE
Under the Workplace Safety and Health (Risk Management) Regulations, the employer, self-employed person and principal in every workplace shall conduct a risk assessment in relation to the safety and health risks posed to any person who may be affected by his undertaking in the workplace. Reasonably practicable steps shall be taken to eliminate, minimize or control any foreseeable risk to any person who may be affected by his undertaking in the workplace in accordance with the hierarchy of control.
We provide 2-day WSQ Develop a Risk Management Implementation Plan for risk management team leaders and members.

Our Scope
Our scope of Risk Management Consultancy Service covers the following:
- Review existing WSH policy, risk assessment and safe work procedures
- Advise & facilitate on the implementation of risk assessment procedure
- Advise & facilitate the identification and documentation of inventory of work activities for risk assessment
- Advise & facilitate the risk evaluation
- Advisory on “Risk Control Implementation Plan” for those activities identified as “High Risk”
- Conduct one session of “Risk Awareness Briefing” to key personnel
- Advisory on **bizSAFE Level 3 Audit
- Advisory in corrective actions, if any, to achieve bizSAFE Level 3 certification
**bizSAFE Level 3 Risk Management audit is conducted by third party MOM accredited auditor
About BizSAFE
Upon achieving bizSAFE level 3 or bizSAFE STAR, companies can display bizSAFE logo on their business collaterals such as letterheads or name cards as a reflection of their commitment to safety.
The five different levels for bizSAFE are as follows:
Demonstrate Top Management Commitment
Top management to attend a half-day Workshop for CEOs/Top Management. Upon completion of the workshop, top management will have a good understanding on WSH Act, bizSAFE concept and the importance of cultivating good safety culture in workplace.
Companies will also be granted bizSAFE Level 1 status.
bizSAFE status is valid for 6 months from the date of approval and companies are required to progress up to bizSAFE level 2 to continue their bizSAFE recognition.
Acquire Risk Management Capability
All workplaces covered under the Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) are required to conduct risk assessment for every work activity and process carried out at their workplaces.
Companies to nominate Risk Management (RM) Champion to attend Develop a Risk Management Implementation Plan course where risk assessment and management will be taught. At the end of the course, the RM Champion will acquire the knowledge and in reducing risks at source by managing the risk management process at workplace.
Companies will then be upgraded to bizSAFE Level 2.
bizSAFE level 2 status is valid for 6 months from date of approval and companies are required to progress up to bizSAFE level 3 to continue their bizSAFE recognition.
Implement Risk Management
Companies to engage an MOM-Approved WSH auditor to assess the implementation of RM.
Upon achieving certification for bizSAFE level 3, companies are encouraged to proceed to level 4 to continue the bizSAFE journey.
bizSAFE level 3 status is valid for 3 years from date of approval or upon expiry of relevant external certificates, whichever is earlier. Companies are required to renew their bizSAFE level 3 status to continue their bizSAFE recognition.
Acquire capability in Managing WSH Systematically
Companies to select a Workplace Safety and Health Management System (WSHMS) Programme Lead to attend Develop a WSHMS Implementation Plan. Upon completion of course, WSHMS Programme Lead will acquire knowledge and skills to develop a WSHMS implementation plan to meet the requirements of SS (Singapore Standard) 506 and risk management code of practice.
Companies may apply for bizSAFE Level 4 status.
bizSAFE level 4 status is valid for 3 years from date of approval or upon expiry of relevant external certificates, whichever is earlier. Companies are required to renew their bizSAFE level 4 status to continue their bizSAFE recognition.
Deliver Excellence in WSH Management System
Companies enterprise must obtain SS 506 Certification issued by SAC accredited certification bodies OR OHSAS 18001 or other equivalent certification accompanied by a RM Implementation Audit Report by MOM-Approved WSH Auditor to achieve bizSAFE STAR certification.
bizSAFE level STAR status is valid for 3 years from date of approval or upon expiry of relevant external certificates, whichever is earlier. Companies are required to renew their bizSAFE level STAR status to continue their bizSAFE recognition.
