This course is a competency-based training under the generic manufacturing framework of the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ).
All workplaces covered under the Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) are required to conduct risk assessment for every work activity and process carried out at their workplaces.
This 2-day course covers the following:

+ Workplace Safety and Health (Risk Management) Regulations requirements
+ Risk management team and process – Risk assessment
+ Classification of WSH hazards
+ Concept of risk assessment

+ SGSecure Requirements
Who should attend?
Personnel preparing a risk management plan to meet the requirements of risk management code of practice and for recognition of bizSAFE level 2 by WSHC including:
– Management / Head of department
– Risk management champion / RM team member / RA team leader
– Engineer / Line supervisor
Assumed Knowledge and Skills
Participants are assumed to:
– Be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) level 5 (or) possess at least GCE ‘N’ level English grade 5.
– Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 5 (or) possess GCE ‘N’ level Mathematics grade 5.
Why this course?
Upon completion of this course, learners will acquire the knowledge and skills to be a RM Team Leader or Risk Management Champion for the organization in reducing risks at source by managing the risk management process at workplace. It involves developing a practical risk management implementation plan for the organization which identify specific actions to be taken, by whom and time for their completion, including capabilities in management terror incidents. It also entails formation of risk management team, risk assessment, controlling and monitoring the risks, communicating these risks to all persons involved and in compliance with the Risk Management Code of Practice.
Certificate
WSQ Statement of attainment will be issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to participant who has successfully achieved course competency criteria for Develop a Risk Management Implementation Plan course.
Companies completed this course may apply with WSH Council as bizSAFE level 2 enterprise. bizSAFE level 2 status is valid for 6 months from date of approval and companies are required to progress up to bizSAFE level 3 to continue their bizSAFE recognition.
Companies implemented risk management may go for risk management audit by MOM accredited WSH auditors to achieve bizSAFE level 3 certification. bizSAFE level 3 status is valid for 3 years from date of approval or upon expiry of relevant external certificates, whichever is earlier. Companies are required to renew their bizSAFE level 3 status to continue their bizSAFE recognition.
