What is this course about?
This course outlines the use of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), chemical classification and labelling systems to recognize the chemical hazards.
Training outline:
+ Gather MSDS
+ Interpret and apply the MSDS information
+ Evaluate the physical, health and environmental hazards of chemicals used in the work place
+ The necessary preventive and mitigation measures to control these chemical hazards
+ Use the Singapore Standards 586 part 3
Who should attend?
– Personnel involved in purchasing, transporting, handling and use of chemicals
– Personnel responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements concerning chemicals
– Auditors who wish to enhance their knowledge on chemical hazards so as to generate appropriate audit findings and conclusions during EMS or OHSMS audits
Certificate
A certificate of attendance will be issued to learners who completed the course.
WSH officer will be awarded with 8 SDU points upon completion of the course.
